BCON Services is led by Brendan Coolahan, a 20+ year veteran of the rail industry in Australia and across the entire APAC region. Brendan began his career in the rail industry as a Mechanical Engineer, and his experience has seen him work across all aspects of the rail industry, providing engineering, construction, and maintenance management support to rail infrastructure and rolling stock owners, operators, and maintainers.

After gaining rail industry experience with leading industry businesses including John Holland, Metro Trains, VLine, and Advisian, Brendan founded BCON Services in 2013.

Since starting the business, Brendan has worked with rail contractors, asset owners and maintainers around the world, providing rail engineering services, rail inspection equipment, measurement and evaluation services of the rail infrastructure.

Rail equipment can be quite complex – particularly those used for the management of rail industry assets – and Brendan learned early in his career that taking the time to understand how complex machinery works is not a skill that everyone has.

Now, with more than two decades of experience in rail infrastructure , rail plant & rollingstock, he brings that expertise to BCON Services and its clients, providing them with critical insights into the state of their track networks – and helping them to ensure they meet stringent safety standards and are operate to their full potential.
